Agility seminar 2018

This was MeMe's first time at an agility seminar.
She was at the novice level.
When she didn't know what to do, she got creative.
Of course, the laughter at the background didn't help.
She thought she was doing a good job entertaining.

She learned a few new skills.
There were more skills that we needed to practice.

Morgan was in the Master class.
It was a lot of skills for her to learn.
She did well on the first day.
She was a bean on the second day.
Her brain must be fried with all the learning.
More practise during the Christmas break.

Tailblazer trial Nov, 2018

Morgan was going more focus on her job.

Morgan got a "Q" in starter jumper which gave her SGDC
- Starter Game Dog of Canada.
That was the actual result.
She did it in good time.

Morgan SGDC

Roxy, Morgan's mom got a "Q" in Starter Standard and now her ADC
- Agility Dog of Canada - title.
Both mother and daughter got a title in the same day.

On the second day, Roxy started with a "Q" in Advanced Gambler.
She will be in Master Gambler at the next trial.

Morgan got her first "Q " in starter standard.

Morgan finished the weekend with another "Q " in Advanced jumper.
That was the first jumper after her moved up.
Sorry no video.
I wasn't prepared.
I didn't think she was ready in the advanced level but she showed me her potential.

MeMe's agility fun meet

MeMe did well in her first agility match.
It was a fun match.
She was too young for a real trial.
I got lost and messed up her first standard run.
However, she got the gamble.
She was second placed.

And she did a beautiful jumpers run.
She got 2 out of her 3 runs.
I am so proud of her.
I can't wait till she is old enough to go to a real trial next year.
OK.
Back to weave poles training.

Morgan - the sport car

Morgan the sport car, who ran so fast and she had no wish to slow down to avoid the "crash"
Back to more training on better control of her speed, not to slow her down but for her to learn to adjust her stride to accommodate the turns.

We are enrolled in an agility seminar in a month. I can't wait to learn more skills to improve our handling.

How smart is a Samoyed

Moka received her Silver versatility award from SAC for being a good girl and worked with me in different sports.

She got many certificate of recognition for 2017/8.
Those are titles that she collected within a 12 months period.

She got her AGI title this year which will contributed to her next level - Gold versaitility.

Even Scarlet got a certificate.

Of course, Moka's mom Hermione got a few too.
Afterall, it is in the family.

SCA 2018 - the event

The week started with Morgan getting measured for agility.
Every dog needs to have two official measure to determine her jump height.
She can only be officially measured after she turned 2.
After the second measurement, she will receive her jump height card.

Oh well! She sit/stay was good but her runs weren't.
She was a bit distracted by the people and dogs walking around ringside.

MeMe was getting a bath before her show.

Morgan didn't behave so it was up to MeMe to perform.

MeMe, just liked her mom Moka, was always good, eager to please and never disappointed us

She went reserve intersex winner in Futurity in the 12-15 month class.

This was her official win photo.
It wasn't her best photo.
But.....it was a win in the National afterall.

We got to take a group photo with family and friends.
L-R
Morgan, Meme, MiuMiu ( MeMe's half aunt), Enzo and Kaylee ( Morgan's half siblings) and Zesty.

SCA 2018 - Sight seeing

This year's Samoyed Club of America National is held in Purina Farm, Gray Summit, St Louis.

We arrived early to check out the ground and did some sight-seeing.

We visited the Arch at downtown St . Louis.

We checked out the Sculpture park.

We took many pictures and the dogs had a good walk in the park.

We stopped by a local oyster bar for lunch.
St. Louis is very dog friendly.
Many eateries will allow well-behaved dogs in their patio.
There are water dishes placed around the outdoor shopping malls.

We had to pay the AKC Museum of the Dogs a visit.
It will be closed permanently on Sept 30 and moved to New York.
Apparently, only some of the collections will be moved.

Olympic Kennel Club 2018

Since MeMe has completed her Canadian championship and almost her grand championship, we decide to go for her America championship.
It is more competitive across the border.
It requires more dogs to qualify for a major win.
At Olympic Kennel club dog show in the past weekend, MeMe got her first 4 points major win. She beat a total 14 other bitches.
She won her class of BBE - Bred By Exhibitor which was a strong class as most of the bitches were the pick of the litter,
then took Winner bitch, finished with Best of winners, that mean she beat the boys as well.

Wednesday 8 August 2018

Alberta Kennel Club

Moka got her AGN - agility novice title in June.

Here we are at Alberta Kennel club, running in the intermediate title.
She got 2 more runs and her Agility intermediate title.
We will be back next year for her Excellent title.
She should be ready by then.

MeMe was shown at conformation.
She did well.
She is only 1 year old and has some growing up to do.

MeMe turns 1

Where did time go?
My survivor puppy turned one.

We started the celebration with a group hike up Mount Washington the day before.
On her birthday, we went to the beach with her mom Moka.

We met up with her best buddy Kaiya the pit bull who is the most gentle dog ever.
She finished the day with peanut butter banana cake with yogurt frosting.
