Ch MeMe

MeMe is now a Canadian Champion.
This was her first day of show in Chilliwack.

Look at how she performed on this first show and compared to the last one and I was so proud of how fast she had learned and improved.
She took Winner Bitch, Best of Winners and Best puppy in Breed.
MeMe in Puppy Group.

MeMe was so easy going and patience.
She was waiting for show time, resting on the grooming table.

This was the second show.
MeMe took Winner bitch again.

The third show was the Western Canada Samoyed specialty.
I was showing Moka.

Our friend Teresa had kindly showed Hermione for us and won Best Veteran.
Frank showed MeMe as she won another Winner Bitch.

This was the fourth show. MeMe again took winner bitch and became a Champion.

This was the fifth show and also MeMe's first show as "Special".
She must have known that she was competing against the adults and she stand still for examination, even fixed her own stack when the judge was examining her.

This was the sixth and the last show for the week.

MeMe showed like a "Pro".
She stacked herself, stand still for the judge, never stopped wagging her tail.
She moved well.
She had improved so much from the first, in only a few days.

MeMe did 6 shows in 5 days. She showed her heart out.
She won every show.
Most of all, she never stopped wagging her tail.
She is a little trooper, a true working samoyed.

We are NOT ready for Spring

It was another nice day on the mountain with blue sky and bright doggie smile.
Moka, Hermione, MeMe.

MeMe looked so grown up on the top of the hill.

"Mom stop taking picture! Let's go!"

MeMe was having such a good "recall".

MeMe's first time snowshoeing

It was a nice day. MeMe was old enough to go snowshoeing.
It was a good opportunity to practice "recall".

MeMe was learning good behaviour from mama Moka.

She had a lot of fun in the snow.
In fact Moka picked a fresh trail, MeMe broke most of it.

They stayed close to me when I was taking a break.

MeMe was getting bigger.
She was almost as tall as Moka.

MeMe's first show

Finally, it is show time.
We went to the first show of the year at Cowichan Fairground.
MeMe took Winner bitch, Best opposite and Best puppy on her first day.

Guess what?
She was getting better at the show business.

On the second day, MeMe took Winner bitch, Best of Winners, Best puppy and
Best of Breed.
This little girl has a big shoe to fill.
She is ready .

Winter is here!

Winter had started early. We had  been to many snowshoeing trips, just to keep the dogs in shape.

Hermione in the middle
Daughter Moka on the left
Granddaughter Morgan on the right.

Moka and Morgan tested out a new trail and got to run in fresh snow.

Morgan was so fast and Scarlet had given up catching her.

MeMe's first match

MeMe went to her first Sanction match today hosted by Nanaimo Kennel Club.

We haven't been to any handling class yet.

MeMe did very well on the show leash. She was not fighting the leash.

We managed to walk a straight line.

She allowed the judge to go over her.

We came back with her first ribbons.

She learned to wait patiently in the soft crate before her turn.
