Hermione MADC

Hermione has her MADC - Master Agility Dog of Canada- title today at Roadster trial.

Everybody is very happy.

Look at the big smile on her face.

It is a shame that the video didn't turn out.

She did it in very good time - with lots to spare.

Scarlet's 1st birthday

She started her birthday celebration with a hike in the snow. She was too happy to break trails.

Scarlet is very good with her recall.

We found the cabin in the mountain. Maybe we will stay there some nights.

What is a birthday without candle and cake.
This is her favorite peanut butter banana pupcake.

Scarlet was very good to leave the pupcake alone while we took photos.

Her family joined her for the celebration.
Roxy, Scarlet, Moka, Hermione, Moli, Moby.

Someone obviously refused to have the party hat on. Someone was not happy about it but will comply. Someone had something to say.

Scarlet had her favourite squirrel tail for present.

Rebecca McKay Seminar 2/2016

Moka and Roxy was entered in the Novice class.

These were Moka's run.

Moka had her moment. There were times that she was so sure that she knew what she was doing. She pushed Rebecca away to take the jump of her choice.

She was finally convinced.

I can't blame her. Hermione finished her championship at 14 months and all she was doing after that was agility.

Moka finished her championship at 1 year old. She was competing in rally novice at the same time, before she was old enough to compete in agility. And she competed for her AKC championship and grand championshipt.

Moby retired when she was 18 months so she picked up the slack and worked also as a therapy dog.

She also competes in lure coursing, classic obedience.

She is multi-talented.

Roxy is coming along nicely. She is more matured and more co-operative.
She has learned to follow my cues and works with me as a team.

Hermione did well. She learned some new skills, so did I.

We will make a better team in the upcoming trialing season.

Rose City Classic - Portland 2016

This was our first road trip this year. It was also Scarlet's first time in a hotel.

She managed to find the most comfortable spot and claimed it hers.

The hotel offered a shuttle to the show ground. Scarlet was patiently waiting to get on.

During the wait, she decided to sit by the lion.

And ate with the lion.

Beckham was resting while I checked my email.

Moka took select bitch on the first day and completed her AKC Grand Championship.

Moka took select bitch again at the Willamette Valley Samoyed Fancier Specialty.

Beckham took Winner Dog on Sunday and Vanessa had a big smile.

The most reliable GPS system

We had a good snow fall yesterday.

Despite a bit of overcast, it was a good day to go snowshowing.

Since I planned to do some exploring and break some trails, I brought Hermione along with Scarlet.

Hermione ran like a puppy in the snow.

Since the fresh snow covered the old track, there were times that we had to break our trails. At one point I was moving on as Hermione turned right, I ignored her and kept going. She stared at me, marked at the spot and followed me. Then I realized I was getting into steep terrain, I pulled up the GPS and tried to find my way. Sure enough it led me to where Hermione has marked. I followed her and she brought me back on the main trail.
